While it had been raining on our trip down the Saône to Chalon-sur-Saône, the sun has been with us everyday since. The Bimini provides much needed shade.
Santenay is in the heart of wine country. A beautiful town with vineyards around it in all directions.
And of course, there were superb restaurants to choose from. We chose Le Terroir – an apt name for a town surrounded by vineyards.
It was a mid-week lunch. Once again, we had phoned ahead. A good thing. There wasn’t an empty table to be seen.
