Blanquart Yachting in St. Jean-de-Losne did an excellent job of repairing our Bimini. We can now have shade – just not right away.
The bridges on the Canal de Bourgogne are far too low for us to travel with the Bimini up. We’ll wait until we’re in Dijon to put the canvas back on. At least the railings now lie flat on the aft deck – a comforting feeling as we look behind us while tied up for the night – halfway to Dijon.
The stretch from St. Jean-de-Losne to Dijon is 30 kilometres – all of it perfectly straight. Even without the twists and turns we like, there are still sights that grab our attention. Former lock-keepers houses converted into art galleries and fields of sunflowers that stretch as far as the eye can see.
